POLICIES
Buckets Basketball Academy collects personal information such as emergency contacts, medical details, player addresses, and attendance records solely for operational purposes.
All personal data is kept confidential and only accessible to authorized personnel. Sensitive data will not be shared without parental consent unless required by law.
Registration fees are due at the start of the program. Flexible payment options are available for families who may need them, ensuring accessibility for everyone. If a player’s balance is not settled by the beginning of the next season, that player will not be eligible to participate until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
For convenience, payments can be made through our secure online portal, as well as via Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Parents can choose to pay the full season’s dues upfront or opt for automatic installment billing, with the first installment due upon registration. Regardless of the payment method selected, parents are responsible for the entire season's fees.
We offer financial assistance to qualifying families who need additional support. Please reach out to our team for more information and guidance on the application process.
All program payments are due by the specified dates. A 7-day grace period is provided, after which a $25 late fee will be applied.
If payments, including any late fees, are not fully settled by the start of the next season, the player will be unable to participate until the account is current. Families facing financial difficulties are encouraged to contact us to discuss alternative payment arrangements or potential financial assistance.
We appreciate your cooperation in following this policy to help keep our programs running smoothly for all.
Buckets Basketball Academy has a strict no-refund policy. Exceptions may be considered in cases of long-term injury or illness.
For Players:
Players are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship, respect officials' decisions, and show support for both teammates and opponents. Negative behaviors such as taunting, aggressive language, or disrespect toward others are unacceptable.
Timeliness is essential; players should arrive promptly for all practices, games, and events. Being on time supports team unity and maximizes valuable practice time.
Players are also required to adhere to all club guidelines, including dress code, safety protocols, and attendance expectations. Misconduct will lead to a review and may result in disciplinary action.
For Coaches:
Coaches are expected to demonstrate professionalism by being well-prepared, organized, and knowledgeable. They should embody the core values of Buckets Basketball Academy (see the "About" section) and serve as role models for players.
Coaches are encouraged to build players’ confidence, foster a growth mindset, and focus on constructive feedback and skill development. Additionally, they should create a safe, positive environment that promotes not only athletic improvement but also character growth. Managing conflicts calmly and fairly is essential.
For Parents/Guardians:
Parents are encouraged to actively support their child’s participation by promoting a positive attitude, encouraging fair play, and motivating maximum effort during practices and games.
Respect toward coaches, referees, fellow spectators, and all players is expected at all times. Disrespectful or confrontational behavior toward staff, players, or other parents will not be tolerated.
Buckets Basketball Academy has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind. This includes verbal, physical, and online bullying.
We encourage players, coaches, and parents to report any incidents of bullying or harassment to the head coach immediately. All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.
If an incident is confirmed, the academy will take appropriate action based on the severity of the situation, which may include a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the program.
Photos and videos taken during practices, games, or events may be used to promote the academy on social media, our website, and other materials.
Parents or guardians who prefer that their child’s image not be used can opt out by emailing bucketsbasketballacademy@gmail.com. The Academy will ensure that any media featuring their child is excluded from promotional content.
Buckets Basketball Academy is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. All players, regardless of race, gender, or ability, are respected and valued.
Discrimination or exclusion based on race, gender, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
